The nurses and reception staff are just as wonderful — friendly, reassuring, and incredibly patient, even during the more stressful visits. You can tell they work seamlessly as a team, and that they really do put the wellbeing of every animal first. It’s rare to find a practice where you feel completely supported, listened to, and cared for, but Medivet Weymouth manages it effortlessly. I’m so grateful for everything they’ve done and wouldn’t trust my little dog Sparky with anyone else

Absolutely appalling. This practice caused permanent injury to my dog while in their care and showed no concern or accountability. My dog was admitted to Medivet at 8:30am on 15 August 2025 with full hearing. By the afternoon, following an operation, she was completely deaf — and remains deaf to this day. The practice made numerous mistakes throughout her treatment. Even when the vet said to me and my witness, “Maybe she had a stroke, maybe she didn’t,” they still failed to confirm whether my dog had suffered a stroke or not. This level of uncertainty and neglect is deeply concerning and dangerous. Rather than taking responsibility, the practice dismissed the matter and treated it as my problem, showing unprofessional and unacceptable behaviour throughout. My dog has been left traumatised and frightened, and they even refused to see her after I submitted a formal complaint about their conduct. Please keep your animals safe — avoid this practice at all costs. Speak to other clients and ex-clients too; I have since heard many disturbing accounts from other pet owners who entrusted Medivet with their pets.

Staff members are always kind and friendly. They take great care of my fur babies. They a professional, efficient and they are knowledgeable. We have always received the best treatment possible. The pet plan is great value for money and ensures the best treatment.

Absolutely incredible caring staff. We're on Holiday nearby and our furbaby broke her dew claw, the receptionist, practice nurse and the vet were incredibly caring and helped us more than I could have ever hoped for. I would not hesitate to recommend this vets. Thank you so much, we are forever grateful 🙏

Brilliant same day appointment at Weymouth Medivet gave us a diagnosis and cream required to treat our Labradoodles’ hot spot. Malcolm , the vet, was very professional and showed much empathy for which I was very grateful. We are truly happy to recommend this practice and are thankful we chose to register with them.
