I cannot rate this service highly enough. It is always hard to lose a beloved pet, but Fond Farewell Vets were amazing. I was very sad to say goodbye to my dog after 14 years, but James made it a positive experience. My sincere thanks to both James & Suzy

Having made the unbearable decision all dog owners face at some stage, James was supremely sympathetic, calm and clear about the whole process. We will not forget the empathy he showed and his kindness. The card we later received was a lovey touch. I would certainly recommend this caring team.

Fond Farewell provided an exceptional service at what was an incredibly difficult time for our family. They came highly recommended by our vet, and from the first contact through to the visit itself, their professionalism, kindness and sensitivity were clear. Saying goodbye was always going to be difficult but when the time came being able to help our dearly beloved doggo on his final journey at home felt absolutely right. The team from Fond Farewell handled everything with genuine compassion and calm reassurance, giving us the time and space we needed while ensuring our bestest boy remained peaceful and comfortable throughout. Being able to say goodbye at home, surrounded by the people who loved him most, meant a great deal to us and made a very hard moment feel more personal and dignified. I would also like to acknowledge what an incredibly difficult job this must be. We had James come out to our 14.5 Yr old husky x we had all the time we needed, it was so peaceful, respectful and calm, marley just fell asleep and she was my beautiful big girl till the end, James took her away for a private cremation and hand delivered her back home less than a week later Everything was handled with care and compassion im so glad we chose a fond farewell Thankyou both so much 🐕💔❤️

I can’t describe how marvellous this service is. For such a sad and heartbreaking event, from email replies from the outset, and James visit, and the aftercare provided, it is all outstanding. To have the chance to sit quietly and not see our boy panicking at the local vets was the best and most dignified goodbye.

If you are within the catchment area then do not opt for anyone else but James Fond. I said goodbye to my beautiful and sweet wolfhound today. It was the hardest thing I have ever done in my life but knowing he was in the hands of Fond Farewells gave me relief. He will treat your pet with the utmost care and respect. A real animal lover doing one of the most important jobs there is. Thankyou for sending my boy over the rainbow bridge.

Back in May our lovely Westie Mabel had some issues that the vet thought she might not recover from. We spoke to James at Fond Farewell Vets and he reassured us that she would most likely be back to normal in 2-3 days. And she was! We had another 7 months with her, but last week we knew that we needed to call James again as she was in a bad way - he immediately confirmed that he'd come and see her. His calm demeanour when he arrived immediately helped us know we were in good hands and he confirmed that we were doing the right thing for Mabel. He talked us through everything and gave us space and time to say our goodbyes. He made a hard situation that bit easier to get through. We're so grateful to James and Suzy that they offer this service and that we were able to say goodbye to Mabel at home.

James and Suzy were so kind from our first encounter to putting our beloved dog a sleep. James was so lovely to both Cleo and us, he was gentle and kind, there was no rush and it made it so much easier for us to let James perform the final injection. He then left us to say our goodbyes before taking her to be cremated . When he returned with a basket to put her in she looked so peaceful with her head on her favourite toy, he then put a blanket over her but leaving her head uncovered and took her to his car. Tears in my eyes as I write this but it was definitely the best for Cleo and us, thank you Fond Farewell’s.
