Owners’ experiences are mixed. Several reviews describe practical, reassuring handling for anxious or difficult-to-handle dogs (including giving sedative medication in the car, moving the dog to a dark room to settle, and providing progress updates). One reviewer, however, describes an out‑of‑hours visit with a stated £150 fee and felt the examination was not thorough; they also report that when they later challenged this, the practice manager suggested they find another practice.
4.3 stars from 23 reviews. - Urgent care and serious cases: one owner credits the team with saving their dog’s life via emergency surgery after referral.

Last year I took Rica to Friars Moore when she collapsed on me when out walking. I thought she might have heat stroke although it was not a hot day in July. I got there just after 6 in the evening (out of hours time) and was informed that it would be a fee of £150. I agreed to this, what else could I do! On Examination, I would have expected the Vet to check Rica's heart and lungs with her stethoscope but she did not even remove it from around her neck. I was not impressed with the service and for them to expect me to pay that exorbitant fee for a less than satisfactory examination. When I challenged the practice manager later, she recommended that I found another veterinary practice. Not only did they lose my business but also the elderly lady that I look after that has 3 cats. their loss not mine.

The vet you hire on and off (Felicity) put a towel around my 1yr old 5.5kg Pomeranians face at Vets4Pets whilst getting his vaccine. Ever since he’s been a nervous wreck.

Extremely helpful..... Have a nervous 46kg rottweiler that needs medication and handling with care when visiting vets... The 2 young nurses that dealt with me were amazing........ They made me feel at ease which helped my girl to be at ease they came out to car to give her some sleepy meds then took her into a dark room to drift off. I was updated on her progress, fantastic service

Need an appointment for my King Charles Spaniel, as she seemed in a lot of distress today. Got an appointment for this morning. Very friendly staff, my dog enjoyed the visit and seems a lot more comfortable. So I’d like to say thank you for your help and support
